Pathology Consultancy services is headed by a leading experienced surgical pathologist Dr. Mithilesh Chandra, MD, FIC Path and includes a senior oral pathologist Dr. Nidhee Chandra BDS,MDS and Dr. Mrinalini Priyadarshini,DCP,DNB in the team. Dr. Mithilesh Chandra was holding the post of Deputy Director at National Institute of Pathology-ICMR before she started her own, state-of-the-art lab in surgical Pathology. She had been incharge of Histopathology, Immunopathology, Cytopathology and Tissue Culture laboratories at the institute. She has been awarded Common Wealth Medical Fellowship and Fellowship of Indian College of Pathologists and Indian Medical Science Academy in recognition of her significant contribution in the field of Pathology.

The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and is managed by skilled and dedicated technical and managerial staff. All the investigations are carried out in-house using strict quality control protocols.

Tissue Path & Immunohistochemistry Lab has been renamed as Pathology Consultancy Services since 1st November 2013. The scope of the laboratory includes provide primary diagnostics services in Surgical Pathology including Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluoresence and Cytopathology and obtaining second opinion from its highly experience specialists and from a panel of national and international pathology experts.

Easy approach to the international pathologists was lacking so far in the country and digital pathology has been established to fill that void. How are Digital Slides Produced?

This is the frequently asked question by patients and doctors.

The glass slides with tissue sections are scanned in the automatic robotically controlled microscope called slide scanner. Thousands of pictures are taken from the slide and stitched and blended together by the software to produce a composite picture which reproduces the exact picture of tissue section in glorious details, high resolution and colour saturation.
